Bolton Schools Outcomes Success: A Year of Remarkable Progress
Bolton’s schools have achieved remarkable success in 2024, with significant improvements across various performance measures. The borough’s Progress 8 score reached its highest ever, surpassing national, Northwest, and statistical neighbour averages. This reflects Bolton’s continued commitment to academic excellence and the hard work of both students and staff.
Headline attainment figures also showed improvement, aligning closely with national standards while outperforming the Northwest and statistical neighbours. Notably, the Progress 8 scores for disadvantaged students and those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) showed significant gains. These students’ attainment figures also improved, positioning Bolton above national, Northwest, and statistical neighbour averages.
This success highlights Bolton’s dedication to providing all students, regardless of background or need, with opportunities to excel. The progress made in 2024 is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and ambition within our schools and a reflection of the commitment to collaboration and partnership across the town.
