Celebrating the Success of National Professional Qualifications in Bolton
We are thrilled to celebrate the significant uptake of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) in Bolton, reflecting the dedication to strategic leadership and professional development in our schools. Of the 121 NPQs awarded across the Bolton, Rochdale, and Bury Teaching Hub, an impressive 78% were earned by Bolton colleagues. This demonstrates the strength of our local education community and its commitment to ongoing improvement.
Particularly noteworthy is that all 17 NPQs in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) were awarded to Bolton educators, showing a clear focus on improving inclusive education. Additionally, 10 out of the 11 NPQs in Headship (NPQH) were awarded to senior leaders in Bolton schools, highlighting the area’s strong leadership pipeline.
Moreover, 13 out of 14 participants who completed the NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture were from Bolton schools, further reinforcing our local commitment to creating positive learning environments.
This exceptional uptake is a clear testament to the passion and ambition of Bolton’s teaching staff. We are excited about continuing to support the delivery of these qualifications, ensuring even more teachers and leaders can access valuable professional development opportunities to enhance the future of education in our community.
