CEIAG Hub: Supporting Futures Together

The Bolton Learning Partnership CEIAG Hub, led by Michelle Moore, Assistant Headteacher at Little Lever School, plays a pivotal role in shaping the careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) landscape across Bolton. The hub brings together CEIAG leads from all school settings in the borough, creating a collaborative platform for sharing best practice, building expertise, and strengthening professional networks.

Supported by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), the hub ensures that young people in Bolton are equipped with the essential skills, knowledge, and guidance to build successful and fulfilling lives. Meetings take place both as a central Bolton hub and in local clusters, allowing schools to forge stronger partnerships within their communities.

An important feature of the hub is its mentoring scheme. New CEIAG leads are paired with experienced colleagues from other schools, ensuring they have immediate access to advice and support. Bolton Connexions also plays a key role in the hub, contributing invaluable expertise and enhancing the offer for students across the region.

Looking ahead, the hub has ambitious priorities for the next academic year. These include aligning CEIAG clusters more closely with BLP’s geographical clusters to facilitate better collaboration, expanding the CPD offer for CEIAG leads, and responding directly to the recent CEIAG lead survey to tailor support to the needs of all leaders.

With a clear focus on professional development and partnership, the CEIAG Hub continues to drive improvement and opportunity for Bolton’s young people.
