Spotlight on: Bolton’s Safety and Welfare Hub – Strengthening Safeguarding for our #19K
The Bolton Learning Partnership Safety and Welfare Hub plays a pivotal role in safeguarding students across Bolton’s educational landscape. Comprising designated safeguarding leads from secondary schools, specials schools, alternative provisions, and Post-16 providers, the hub ensures a unified and proactive approach to student welfare. By regularly meeting, representatives from all our settings stay well-informed on the latest safeguarding legislation, best practices, and emerging challenges.
These meetings, held in collaboration with the Safeguarding in Education Team and other key stakeholders, create a space for sharing vital information, resources, and strategies. Guest speakers, experts in safeguarding, are regularly invited to provide up-to-date insights on legislative changes, new policies, and successful approaches. This ensures that safeguarding leads are equipped with the tools and knowledge to protect the wellbeing of all students in their care.
The work of the Safety and Welfare Hub exemplifies Bolton’s commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for its students. It fosters collaboration between schools, services, and external agencies, ensuring that every child and young person is given the best possible chance to thrive in a secure, nurturing setting. Through this collective effort, the hub plays a vital role in creating safer, more responsive educational environments across the borough.
Thank you to our Hub lead and all hub members for their continued dedication to the safety and welfare of our #19K.
